Candace C. Formacek was elected treasurer of Chesapeake Corporation as of January 3 2005. She had served as director-finance of the company since 2002.
Prior to joining Chesapeake in 2000 as a senior financial analyst Ms. Formacek was co-founder and president of Grayson Inc. & Novoclub s.r.o. a private fast food and business development consulting company based in the Czech Republic. She began her career as a senior auditor with Coopers & Lybrand in 1981 before joining AT&T's Equipment Division (subsequently Lucent Technologies) as a district manager in 1985.
Ms. Formacek received a bachelor's degree in accounting from James Madison University and a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University. She passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in 1984.
