Is coming off his best season as a pro. In 2006, he established new career-highs in receiving yardage (740), touchdowns (4), longest reception (58) and yards per catch (18.5).

His ’06 yards-per-catch average of 18.5 ranked third in the NFL among receivers with 30+ catches in 2006.

Appeared in all 16 games last season and started eight three in place of injured Larry Fitzgerald and five times in a three-WR set with Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin.

Pro Career:

The first of two first-rounders chosen by the Cardinals in the 2003 NFL Draft (17th overall), Johnson has played in all but three games in his first four years with the Cardinals. In those 61 games, he has amassed 164 receptions for 2,147 yards and seven touchdowns. Had his break out season in 2006, finishing third in the NFL in average yards per reception among receivers with 30+ catches. He also set career highs in yardage (740) and touchdowns (4) while having a team-high three plays that went for over 50 yards.

2006: Broke out as a deep ball threat in 2006 and also set new career single season highs in yards (740), average yards per catch (18.5), long reception (58 yards) and TDs in a season (4) caught two passes for 51 yards in the season opener vs. SF (9/10), converting a third-and-10 with a team best 39-yard reception, setting up Troy Walters TD two plays later again hauled in the team's longest reception, this one a 40-yard touchdown in the third quarter @ Sea (9/17) for the third week in a row had a big catch when he connected with Kurt Warner for the team's longest play of the season, this one a 54-yard reception in the third quarter vs. StL (9/24) that also tied his career long logged his second start of the season and tied for a team high with six catches for 82 yards including an acrobatic catch on fourth down to keep the potential game-tying drive alive in the fourth quarter vs. KC (10/8) in his third start of the season caught two passes for 17 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter that opened up the scoring vs. Chi (10/16) established new career highs in receiving yards and longest reception @ Oak (10/22) when he grabbed three passes for 87 yards, including a 58-yard reception from Matt Leinart in the fourth quarter caught four passes for 47 yards including a two-yard Leinart TD pass in the second quarter for the game’s first points vs. Det (11/19) brought in a game-long 56-yard TD reception on the Cardinals first offensive play of the game vs. Sea (12/10); established a new career high for yards in a season caught four passes for 53 yards and returned two kickoffs for 29 yards @ SF (12/24).

2005: Caught two passes for 27 yards in the season opener @ NYG (9/11) caught two passes for 15 yards vs. StL (9/18); had a 10-yard reception overturned by a Rams challenge returned two kickoffs for 45 yards in the fourth quarter @ Sea (9/25) recorded four receptions for 50 yards vs. SF (10/2) caught six passes for 66 yards including a six-yard touchdown pass from Kurt Warner for his first TD of the season suffered a shoulder injury during practice and was deactivated @ Det (11/13) returned from injury to record five receptions in the fourth quarter for 77 yards vs. Jax (11/27) caught five passes for 61 yards vs. Was (12/11).

2004: Missed the entire 2004 preseason with a stress fracture in his foot recorded three receptions for 19 yards in the season opener @ StL (9/12) recorded three receptions for 45 yards @ SF (10/10); caught a 24-yard pass from Josh McCown which set up a 10-yard Emmitt Smith touchdown five plays later notched a team-high seven receptions for 54 yards vs. Sea (10/14); converted third-and-three with a 19-yard reception to set up a FG recorded his longest reception of the season, a 28-yard touchdown pass from Josh McCown @ Buf (10/31) in the final minutes of the game to give the Cards their second touchdown of the day recorded four receptions for 48 yards and returned three kicks for 77 yards including one return he broke for 47 yards which he returned to the Detroit 38 yard-line which set up a FG @ Det (12/5) grabbed four receptions for 77 yards vs. SF (12/12) and returned three kickoffs for 58 yards recorded three receptions for a team-high 69 yards vs. StL (12/19).

2003: In 15 games with eight starts, caught 35 passes for 438 yards and one touchdown finished third among NFL rookie receivers in 2003 behind teammate Anquan Boldin (101 receptions) and Houston’s Andre Johnson (66 receptions) with three wideouts inactive vs. Sea (9/14) due to injuries (Larry Foster, Bryan Gilmore, Kevin Kasper), started at receiver and caught seven passes for 68 yards season-best 86 receiving yards on six receptions vs. GB (9/21), including 25-yarder late in first half drive to a field goal suffered shoulder injury @ Dal (10/5) which led to deactivation the following week vs. Bal (10/12) returned from injury vs. SF (10/26) caught three second-half receptions for 76 yards vs. Cin (11/2) including a 54-yarder from Jeff Blake with 17 seconds left as he caught the ball near the goal line and tumbled into the end zone for his first NFL touchdown catch in 1714 win over Bengals caught four passes for 70 yards @ Sea (12/21), including 41-yarder near the end of the first quarter to open a second-quarter scoring drive for a field goal.

College:

Only sixth player in Penn State history to catch over 100 career passes, ranking fourth in school annals in receptions (110) and second in reception yardage (2,008) for an 18.3-yard average and 10 touchdowns only Bobby Engram (3,026 yards, 1991, 93-95) garnered more receiving yards for the Nittany Lions led the team in receptions final two years also returned 41 punts (equalling single-season school record set by Bruce Branch in 1998 and ’99) for a school one-season record of 528 yards (12.9-yard average), topping Branch’s 464-yard 1999 standard.

Personal:

Full name Bryant Andrew Johnson attended Baltimore City (MD) College High School selected first team all-metro, all-city, all-county, and all-Maryland 1998 Baltimore Touchdown Club’s offensive player-of-the-year as a senior, recorded 37 catches for 834 yards and 11 touchdowns and returned a kickoff 67 yards for a score on defense, registered 77 tackles (six sacks) and one interception as defensive back during prep career, recorded 97 receptions for 2,297 yards and 31 touchdowns, rushed 54 times for 378 yards and four scores, and returned 38 kickoffs for 950 yards and five touchdowns also collected 165 career tackles with 12 sacks and three interceptions served as a basketball team captain, earning two letters as a member of the track team, ran 100 meters (10.65) and earned three letters anchored one of school’s winning relay teams at the 1998 Penn Relays went back to school and earned sociology degree in the Spring of 2005.
