Mr. Eckert has 23 years of insurance executive experience, including the successful rehabilitation of Rockwood Casualty Insurance Company where he served as CEO from 1989-1994. Mr. Eckert organized and serves as the Chairman and President of Eastern Holding Company, Ltd. He founded Educators Alliance Insurance Company (now Eastern Alliance Insurance Company) in 1997 and has served as an officer and Board member of Employers Alliance since its inception in 1983. Mr. Eckert is also the Chairman of Eastern Re Ltd., SPC. He is a partner in the management-consulting firm of Lewis, Eckert and Robb & Company, located in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. In that capacity Mr. Eckert has served as the chairman and CEO of several Pennsylvania-based casualty insurance companies. He also participates as a director on the boards of several other insurance and manufacturing firms, and serves as a director on the board for The Pennsylvania Ballet and serves on the Board of Regents for the Mercersburg Academy. Mr. Eckert received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and his Juris Doctor degree from Dickinson School of Law. |
