Mr. Godwin is a co-founder of CoreVision Strategies, LLC., and is an expert in asset recovery, and receivable portfolio management. He is founder and President of Williams, Babbit & Weisman ("WBW") , a commercial collection agency serving the credit industry for over 14 years. During this period of time Bruce has been involved in various aspects and projects related to the credit and accounts receivable functions for companies such as Motorola, Novell, Allied Signal, Black & Decker, Ascend Communications and Eastman Chemical. WBW has assisted clients with debt resolution both domestically and in over 80 foreign countries. Among his more significant accomplishments have been the design, creation and implementation of an entire business software management system that that in 1998 enabled him to convert WBW into a completely paperless company. This completely integrated and proprietary system has enabled him to reduce operating overhead while more importantly creating significant advantages to customers and attorneys. He develops custom web-based portals for his customers. On CoreVision's current contract he has significantly exceeded expectations. Mr. Godwin's significant experience has given him a keen understanding of providing practical solutions to troubled companies. Not only as a result of services provided through WBW and but as an active investor in other businesses, he has accumulated a broad understanding of business processes. He is very knowledgeable of the considerations in the management of receivables in a bankruptcy environment. Through his extensive network of attorneys throughout the United States, he has helped numerous clients develop cost-effect litigation strategies and has been asked to lecture before various organizations. He is the past Chair of the Commercial Collection Agency Association (CCAA). The CCAA (founded in 1972) is comprised of a select group of approximately 100 commercial collection agencies that have been certified by the Commercial Law League of America. He has served on a number of the CLLA's most important regional councils, practice sections and committees. He served as the treasurer of the Fund For Public Education and is currently serving as a member of the Board of Governors. |
