Dr. Murphy received her medical degree from University College, Dublin, Ireland. She completed her residencies at Trinity College(Gynecology), Altnagelvin Hospital (ER), and Hennepin County Medical Center(Internal Medicine.) She also completed a fellowship in Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Murphy is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
