Mr. Brian F. Gsell is a Managing Engineer in Exponent’s Electrical and Semiconductors practice. Mr. Gsell has over 25 years experience in engineering and management. He specializes in issues pertaining to electrical engineering particularly as they relate to industrial control systems with emphasis on instrumentation equipment as applied in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Gsell has extensive experience in the design and failure analysis of electronic systems designed for harsh environmental conditions in oil and gas explorations. He has investigated incidents involving accidental contact with electric high voltage circuits and failures of electric equipment and appliances.
