Mr. Turner brings to Sterling Planet in-depth expertise at bringing new sources of renewable energy into production. He is responsible for developing supply-side power plants that utilize biomass, wind or solar energy as fuel. In this role, he is responsible for siting, permitting, obtaining power purchase agreements, and negotiating engineering and construction contracts. He is also tasked with identifying investment opportunities in similar projects. The primary area for development of these projects is the North American market. Mr. Turner has 20 years of experience in the independent power industry, working with major corporations such as Southern Company, Mirant and Calpine. He has worked as a developer and marketer for wholesale power in the North American market. He has been responsible for the development and acquisition of more than 3,800 megawatts of generating capacity.
