Robert P. Hernandez joined NorthMarq Capital in September 2003 when NorthMarq acquired the mortgage banking division of Legg Mason Real Estate Services (LMRES) where he was employed since 1986. He is currently Senior Vice President/Managing Director in the Tampa Office. Mr. Hernandez’ responsibilities include debt and equity placement for insurance companies, pension funds, venture funds and private investors represented by NorthMarq Capital, Inc., as well as the development of new clients and funding opportunities in the region. Mr. Hernandez has originated and facilitated the funding of over $2 billion in real estate transactions, and he has over 28 years experience in commercial real estate including appraising, lending, sales and structured transactions. Prior to joining LMRES, Mr. Hernandez was a mortgage banker with Lomas and Nettleton, lender with The Travelers Insurance Company and real estate appraiser in private practice and with the government. Mr. Hernandez holds a B.S. degree in Real Estate and Finance from Florida State University. He is a licensed real estate broker and mortgage broker in the State of Florida and also is an active member of numerous professional organizations. |
