Bob Brown joined Avnet in 1999 as vice president director of corporate audit. Reporting to Raymond Sadowski senior vice president and chief financial officer Mr. Brown has global audit responsibility for groups based in Phoenix Brussels and Singapore. He was named a corporate officer in 2000.
Lauded for creating a well-respected highly professional and productive team in a very short period of time Mr. Brown received the Avnet Chairman's Award for the Corporate Services Group in 2000. The innumerable requests for assistance the department receives is testament to the reputation Mr. Brown has built with his talented team and demonstrates the value the corporate audit department brings the company.
Mr. Brown was employed by Arthur Andersen for 17 years in New York City and served as a partner in its internal auditing group where he counseled a number of U.S. and multinational companies across several industries.
He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Lehigh University is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the New York State Society of CPAs the American Institute of CPAs and the Institute of Internal Auditors. |
