Bill is a seasoned, senior supply chain executive who brings over 30 years of real-world leadership to the market with his last 15 years in the Fortune 100 arena. He has held management positions in all supply chain areas with experience in plant, division and corporate roles including major business restructuring and consolidation. Bill is focused on adapting and transferring Fortune 500 supply chain strategies and capabilities to middle market companies. Bill s broad and deep experience extends from plant operations management to corporate level sales and operations planning and has included numerous systems and technology implementations. He brings a passionate devotion to supply chain optimization to the Practice that is exhibited by the specialists who are driving improvement and cost reduction in his practice. Bill s experiences as a consulting services buyer frames his core values of providing professional services that are tailored to his clients unique needs yet take advantage of leading edge technology and systems. His focus on due diligence ensures that all engagements are planned and executed in a fashion that mitigates the unanticipated fallout that commonly plagues typical consulting engagements. Bill has been influential in significant domestic and global strategic planning and logistics initiatives. He directed an advanced planning and scheduling (APS) system implementation that integrated the forecasting, production planning, deployment planning and inventory management activities of 15 production facilities into a centralized planning group. Through ERP implementations and distribution network consolidation, he successfully led centralized planning groups into a regional distribution center model. Bill s clients have experienced dramatic improvements in forecast accuracy, order fill, plant throughput, inventory levels and turns, transportation cost, procurement spend, ERP, warehouse management system (WMS), and transportation management system (TMS) functionality as well as sales and operations alignment. Bill has a Master of Management degree from Aquinas College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Barton College. He also serves on the boards of CUNA Credit Union and West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS INCLUDE NCR DK Bicycles Stober Drives ThyssenKrupp RECENT ENGAGEMENTS BIll s Supply Chain & Logistics Practice conducted a freight bill audit for a large bicycle supplier and identified six-months worth of significant overcharges. The Supply Chain team led the initiative to recover 100% of the overcharges, design and implement a transportation performance tracking process, and renegotiate a better rate plan. Based on the total savings generated from this initiative, the client was able to fund a corporate risk management initiative. Working with a large manufacturing company challenged with warehouse deficiencies, Bill's practice completely managed the implementation of a warehouse management system software. Bill s practice investigated the existing processes and modified the software to meet the manufacturer s needs. Bill and his team designed the system functionality to manage bar coding and lot traceability which resulted in inventory reduction, cost reconciliation, and compliance with the manufacturer s key customer requirements.
