Barry joined B&C in 1986. Barry leads our Finance Division with focuses on our Accounting, Capital Budget, Capital Marketing, Operating Budget, Corporate Controller and Internal Auditing Departments. Prior to joining the company, he was a Senior Accountant with Smith, Sapp, Bookout, Crumpler Calliham Accounting firm. He served as Corporate Comptroller for Burroughs & Collins Company until its merger with Myrtle Beach Farms Company to form today's Burroughs & Chapin Company. Barry is also a Certified Public Accountant. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from Coastal Carolina University in 1983 and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at Coastal Carolina University. Barry is Treasurer for the Myrtle Beach Area Recovery Council; a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants; and serves as Deacon, CARE Team Member, Trustee and Finance Committee member at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. |
