Barbara Kane-Burke was appointed CFO in April of 2007. She was most recently the Corporate Controller for Pharmos Corp, a NASDAQ-traded biopharmaceutical company where she was instrumental in helping Pharmos meet its financial disclosure obligations under Sarbanes-Oxley. Previously, she was CFO and Treasurer of Whitewing Environmental Corp, and with Hoechst Celanese/Clariant, where her duties included acting as Controller for a business unit supplying raw materials to the semiconductor industry. Ms. Kane-Burke is responsible for all of Arkados’ accounting, tax compliance, financial aspects of acquisition planning, establishing and maintaining of banking relationships, and all other financial and treasury functions. Ms. Kane-Burke earned an MBA in Accounting and Taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BA in Education from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.
