Bal Rao, Ph.D., manager of research and technical development, supervises research projects conducted by The Davey Institute, the research and development division of The Davey Tree Expert Company.
Dr. Rao provides Plant Health Care program development and recommendations, training and research. He oversees the Davey Plant Diagnostic Clinic and Davey's regulatory and environmental programs. He also serves as a regional technical advisor for Davey field offices.
Dr. Rao provides contract research for green industry companies and organizations. His landscape management projects deal with herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, miticides, fertilizers and growth regulators. His major emphasis is in Plant Health Care programs dealing with alternatives to traditional pesticides. He is also active in interiorscape projects and has teaching experience at universities, trade seminars and workshops. |
