Prior to being President of Clear Channel Outdoor Latin America, Mr. Claux was owner and President of NAPSA, a 30 year-old outdoor advertising company and one of the two foremost outdoor advertising companies in Peru. After Clear Channel Outdoor bought his company in 1998, Mr. Claux stayed as shareholder of NAPSA, and started to work with CCO supervising the operations and acquiring other outdoor advertising companies throughout the region. Today, CCO has operations in Peru, Chile, Brazil and Mexico.
Mr. Claux was twice elected Congressman of the city of Lima, for a total of six years in office. While performing this position, he was appointed President of the Finance and Budget Committee of the City of Lima.
In addition to the outdoor industry, Mr. Claux has participated in the manufacturing business for 15 years as owner of a leading textile export company. While participating in this business, he was elected President of the Peruvian Textile Entrepreneurs Association.
During his early years of professional experience, Augusto Claux worked six years for the most influential and enduring group of radio stations in Peru.
Finally Mr. Claux has also participated in a number of non profit associations, serving as member of the board. Among those, eight years as Vice-Chairman of the most popular Peruvian soccer team. |
