Audrey Leviton is an Assistant Vice President of the Kennedy Krieger Institute as well as the Executive Director of PACT: Helping Children with Special Needs and the Co-Director of Child and Family Support at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Biographical Sketch:
Audrey Leviton received her BA from George Washington University in 1973 and received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 1978. Audrey came to Kennedy Krieger in 1983 after five years as a social worker for the State of Maryland in which she worked with pregnant teens and with family day care providers.
Audrey Leviton is currently an Assistant Vice President at Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Executive Director of PACT: Helping Children with Special Needs, an affiliate of the Kennedy Krieger Institute. PACT’s mission is to promote the development of young children with special needs and their families through programs providing comprehensive assessments, early intervention services, family support services, parent education, counseling and specialized child care. In addition, Audrey is the co-director of the Child and Family Support Program, a program that provides home-based occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and social work services to children with developmental disabilities and their families. Audrey also supervises the Family Support Services department at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Audrey's areas of interest are early intervention and family centered care.
Audrey is the Chairperson of the Private Providers Committee of the Baltimore Infants and Toddlers Program, is a member of the United Way School Readiness impact council, and serves on the University of Maryland's Center for Infant Studies Advisory Board. She was also an editor of the journal, Infants and Young Children from 1993-2002. She was awarded the 2001 William J. Hersey Award for exceptional commitment to children with disabilities.
