Artur Coutinho is Embraer’s Vice- President of Procurement and Industrial Operations since April 2005.
Coutinho joined Embraer in 1988 as a Stamping and Treatment Division Manager. Over a period of 16 years he was promoted to Training and Quality Manager, Production Director, Customer Services Director and President of Embraer in North America.
Before joining Embraer, Coutinho was a Director at Engex S.A., a producer of transmission systems and equipment for petroleum exploration. He has also worked as a Production Manager for Engesa, a car manufacturer in Salvador, Brazil.
Coutinho holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Aeronautical Institute of Technology in Brazil (ITA), and a master’s from the Space Research Institue in Brazil (INPE).
