Dr. Weaver previously served as medical director and director of research at the Arthritis Center of Nebraska for 35 years and is currently a clinical professor of medicine, department of rheumatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is on the Board of Trustees of the University of Nebraska and is a director of Assurity Security Life Insurance Company in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is a past president of the American College of Rheumatology and of the ACR Research and Education Foundation. He serves on the medical advisory boards for several pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, has been the primary investigator on numerous clinical trials and has published over 150 peer reviewed papers and abstracts. Dr. Weaver joined MGI PHARMA’s board of directors in July 1998. |
