Arnold M. Huberman is the founder and president of Arnold Huberman Associates, Inc.Prior to forming the company in 1988, Mr. Huberman was the executive vice president and a principal with a major New York executive search firm. His career includes over twenty years in the entertainment industry. He was the senior vice president and co-founder of The Entertainment Channel, a critically acclaimed pay television service that was the precursor to the current Arts & Entertainment Channel. During the lifetime of the service, Mr. Huberman was responsible for the creation and execution of all programming, and served as executive producer on many of the programs, including shows which won Emmy Awards and numerous Ace Awards for cable programming excellence. In 1977, Mr. Huberman was brought in to help grow the then-fledgling Home Box Office. As vice president, film programming, he was the creator of the current "HBOnly" approach to exclusive television programming. During his tenure with HBO, he was part of the team that grew the subscriber base from under a half million subscribers to over five million. In executive positions with both NBC and ABC, he served as director of feature film programming. During that time, he was responsible for approximately 20% of each network's prime time schedule. Mr. Huberman holds a B.S.. in broadcasting from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a professional musician who performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra for five years, and is the past president and timpanist with the Hudson Valley Wind Symphony. He is a member of both Alpha Epsilon Rho and Phi Mu Alpha fraternities.
