Antony (Tony) Talalay is chief executive officer of Brassica Protection Products LLC (BPP) and a director of the Brassica Sprout Group. Talalay has more than 20 years experience in marketing and advertising with a particular emphasis on food and other consumer products. Mr. Talalay began his business career as a brand manager at General Foods in 1978. Subsequently, he spent ten years in two stints with Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB) where he worked as an advertising account manager on a variety of domestic and international accounts including Frito-Lay, Sunkist and LifeSavers. He served as Regional Account Director for Asia for FCB's Colgate-Palmolive assignments. From 1985 to 1987, Mr. Talalay served as a marketing director for New York Pulse, an early venture from The New York Times Company in consumer on-line information (Internet) services. He also worked as a strategic planner at the advertising agency of Scali, McCabe, Sloves where he developed marketing and advertising strategy for clients such as Ralston Purina and Champion Spark Plug. In 1995, Mr. Talalay spent a year in Paris where he was European Director in Charge, responsible for Unilever haircare brands handled by J. Walter Thompson. Prior to founding BPP, he served as Group Director for Nestle Beverage Products at McCann-Erickson. Mr. Talalay is a graduate of Yale University and earned a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. |
