Anthony H. Barone is President and Chief Executive Officer Nationstar Mortgage LLC, formerly known as Centex Home Equity. He joined the company in January 1997. Currently, Nationstar Mortgage employs approximately 2,200 employees operating out of 75+ locations doing business in 47 states.



Mr. Barone has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry. He started his career in 1980 at General Electric Credit Corporation, graduating from GECC’s Management Development Program in 1981, then holding management assignments in loan servicing, underwriting, secondary marketing and finance. Most recently, Mr. Barone served as Executive Vice President of Ford Consumer Finance, a former subsidiary of Associates Financial Capital Corporation now owned by Citigroup. In this capacity he had full P&L responsibility for the Eastern Division of the company, then the largest home equity lender in the U.S.



Mr. Barone holds a bachelor's in Economics from the University of Connecticut. He is an executive board member of the National Home Equity Mortgage Association (NHEMA) and National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB).
