Angela is responsible for cultivating franchisee relationships and facilitating system growth by making IHG brands the first choice for guests and hotel owners. She and her team provide the services and support necessary to open new hotels in a timely manner, contributing to IHG’s target of adding 50,000 to 60,000 net organic rooms to the global portfolio by the end of 2008.
Angela is an 18-year veteran of the hospitality industry with 10 years of hotel operations experience at both limited service and upscale hotels. She joined InterContinental Hotels Group in 1988, and has held roles of increasing responsibility throughout her tenure with the company at both the hotel and corporate levels. Most recently, Angela served as Senior Vice President, Americas Franchise Operations & Applied Technology and was responsible for franchise operations as well as technology management and infrastructure support for all Americas-based corporate, franchised and HMG hotels.
Prior, she held roles as Senior Vice President, Applied Technology for the Americas region, Senior Vice President, Integrated Technology Solution and Senior Vice President, Quality and Service where she was responsible for overseeing quality, hotel service, training, food and beverage services, product improvement planning, franchise information reporting and market planning for all InterContinental Hotels Group properties in North and South America.
Angela has worked at InterContinental Hotels Group’s headquarters in Brussels, Belgium and Guadalajara, Mexico.
Prior to joining InterContinental Hotels Group, Angela worked for various hotel management companies within the hospitality industry and served in such operational positions as General Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Sales & Marketing Director and Front Office Manager.
Angela attended the University of North Florida in Jacksonville with a major in management. |
