Andres Obregon is a Senior Associate focused on buyout investment opportunities in the Mexico LBO Fund. He is based in Mexico City.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr Obregon was General Manager at Mercadio, a technology services firm he co-founded in Mexico City. He led the company from fundraising and start-up phase to profitable operations. Prior to that, Mr. Obregon worked at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. as Executive Buyer for their Sam's Club Mexico Division. While at Sam's Club, he was responsible for the sourcing, purchasing and replenishing of computer software and hardware categories.
Mr. Obregon received his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico.
