Dr. André Lalonde is the executive Vice President of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada whose membership comprises Canadian Obstetricians and Gynecologists and professionals in affiliated roles such as family medicine, nursing, midwifery, basic and applied research and medical ethics. As the permanent executive his leadership is key in accomplishing the mandate of this organization including the development of clinical practice standards, continuing professional educational programs and general advocacy for women’s health. He represents the viewpoint of the profession to agencies such as government, several international organizations and the public. |
