Amy Pennington serves as a training associate for the Retention Management System from her position as director of international and multicultural student affairs at Arkansas Tech University. Prior to her current position, Ms. Pennington was director of housing programs at the university. In that capacity, she implemented and coordinated freshman retention efforts in the residence halls by using the College Student Inventory, coordinated programming efforts in eight residence halls and the university's apartments, and maintained and monitored the housing budgets for programming. She also served as student recruitment and publicity specialist at Arkansas Tech, coordinating and tracking all correspondence to high school seniors in Arkansas and regions of Oklahoma, among other responsibilities.
Ms. Pennington has conducted presentations at the National Conference on Student Retention and is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. She holds a master's in higher education from the University of Arkansas. |
