Dr. Amir Faghri has been a Director since July 2004. He is presently the Dean of the University of Connecticut School of Engineering. Dr. Faghri joined the university in 1994 as head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. He is published extensively in the area of heat transfer and is the sole inventor of six U.S. patents. He has been a consultant for several major research centers including Los Alamos Oak Ridge National Laboratories Intel Corporation and is a Fellow of A.S.M.E.
Dr. Faghri received a B.S. from Oregon State University and an M.S. and a Ph.D. from the University of California Berkeley.
