Alexander Hamilton is a Shareholder in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group in San Francisco. He has more than 20 years’ experience negotiating and documenting real estate purchases and sales, commercial and retail leasing, real estate development, real estate financing, partnership dispute resolutions, construction disputes and workouts of troubled projects.
Mr. Hamilton has worked with both domestic and foreign sellers and purchasers of real property, structured a wide array of ownership structures and negotiated hundreds of leases for both landlords and tenants, including multi-floor, high-rise office leases, industrial leases, research and development leases, parking leases, master leases, retail leases, and he also represents a variety of developers in the negotiation of construction contracts and other development related agreements.

Represented one of the world’s largest private investment firms in disposition of trophy office space in the San Francisco Financial District including evaluation of marketplace, negotiation of listing agreement with brokers, negotiations with multiple prospective subtenants, and negotiation of disposition documentation.
Represented Hong Kong seller in sale of San Francisco Financial District office building including negotiations with the City and County of San Francisco regarding repairs to adjuring city property.
Outside counsel for major Sacramento hotel, including negotiation of retail leases and lease terminations.
Outside counsel for multiple office buildings in San Francisco Financial District, including negotiation of retail and office leases, lease assignments and lease terminations.
