Alex brings to BBK's Corporate Advisory Group extensive experience in global business development, process improvement, change management, strategic planning and technology innovation. He has over 30 years of advanced business management experience in aerospace, information technology, insurance and manufacturing. Professional Experience Prior to joining BBK, Alex was Director, Civil Space and General Manager of Santa Barbara Remote Sensing, a $145M and 350 staff business unit of Raytheon. During his tenure, Alex led a cross-functional team to close the Santa Barbara site and consolidate the Civil Space business into Raytheon's Space & Airborne Systems main campus in El Segundo, California. Prior to Raytheon, Alex was Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Federal Signal, a $1.2B global manufacturing conglomerate. While at Federal Signal, Alex consolidated IT groups from 35 separate businesses into a single, global IT shared service including a geographically distributed staff of 400 IT professionals. Alex also led a 100 person multi-functional team to achieve full Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for IT. Additional highlights of Alex's aerospace career include senior executive positions at major aerospace companies including Vice President, Business, Strategy and IT Development at Williams International; Vice President, Business Development and Vice President, Technology at Honeywell International (formerly Allied Signal). Alex has also held executive and engineering positions of increasing responsibility at Rockwell International and Boeing. Alex has senior executive IT experience in a number of other industries including publishing, insurance, and data services, serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Thomson/Gale Group; Chief Technology Officer at Progressive; and Vice President, Microtechnology Products at ADP, respectively. Early in his career, Alex was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and was Founder and President of a successful software start-up.
