R. Alan Macksey, Jr. Board of Directors Alan joined Sterling Partners in 1986 and is currently the Managing Director. His responsibilities at Sterling Capital Partners have included sourcing, structuring and financing buyout transactions. Alan has worked with CEOs and CFOs of portfolio companies to structure strategic acquisitions and secure and negotiate senior and subordinated debt. He has also worked with management and audit committees on creating and implementing sophisticated financial modeling, budgeting and reporting systems and on establishing treasury management and financial performance metrics. In addition, Alan has played a central role in the public offering and successful sale of portfolio companies. Prior to joining Sterling Capital Partners, Alan worked at Alex. Brown & Sons in equity research. Alan serves on the board of The Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology Friends and previously served on the selection committee for the Maryland Incubator Company of the Year Awards and on the board of the Association for Corporate Growth, Maryland Chapter. Alan received a BA in economics from Yale University and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School. |
