Aki Kan is President of Aflac Japan and Chairman of Aflac International. He joined Aflac Japan in 1980. In 1997, he was promoted to executive vice president for internal operations for Aflac Japan and deputy chief financial officer for Aflac Incorporated.
He relocated to Aflac Worldwide Headquarters in 1999, when he was promoted to executive vice president, Aflac International. He became chairman of Aflac International in 2004. He was promoted to President of Aflac Japan in April 2005 and retains his position as Chairman of Aflac International.
Mr. Kan graduated from Kanagawa University in Japan in 1973 and was employed by the New York accounting firm of Cook Levine & Company, CPAs, for four years before joining Aflac Japan. |
