An accomplished R & D professional in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years Dr. Alam is responsible for leading Akorn’s Research and Development program.
Dr. Alam has spent his entire career specializing in the research and development of branded/generic pharmaceuticals in both the prescription and over-the-counter markets.
Prior to Akorn Inc. Dr. Alam held numerous Senior Management roles in the pharmaceutical industry with organizations such as: Lyphomed (currently American Pharmaceutical Partners ) American Critical Care Adria Laboratories and Rohm & Haas.
Dr. Alam also served as a management consultant to NeoPharm Carbomed and Unimed in the pharmaceutical industry.
Additionally Dr. Alam’s impressive credentials include 45 published papers and publications; 13 U.S. patents issued; and an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois. |
