Law Practice Abraham B. Krieger is a member in the Commercial Real Estate Law practice of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C., having joined the firm as a member in February 2007. Mr. Krieger’s broadly-based practice focuses on representing businesses and individuals in general business corporate transactions, commercial and residential real estate and lease transactions and real estate, lease and commercial litigation.Professional Profile Prior to joining the firm Mr. Krieger was in private practice since 1976. From 1995 until 2002, Mr. Krieger was a partner in the Great Neck-based law firm Krieger & Schneider LLP and also a partner in the New York City-based law firm of Litman, Krieger & Lehrhaupt from 1989-1993. Mr. Krieger was also General Counsel at Safeco Title Insurance Company of New York. Professional Affiliations Mr. Krieger is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, where he was appointed Co-Chair of the Sub-Prime Subcommittee of the Real Property Committee in 2007, he also served as the chair of the NCBA’s Real Property Committee from 2003-2004, as well as on the Advisory Task Force on Escrows, as a Moot Court program Judge (2005, 2006), he also served on the Board of Directors from 2002 to 2005, as Chairman of the By-Laws Revision Committee 2001-2002, New Member Regional Liaison to the Bar, 1999-2003 and as Committee Vice-Chairman in 2001. Mr. Krieger is also a member of the Queens Bar Association and the Great Neck Lawyers Association.Community Involvement In addition to his legal career Mr. Krieger is deeply committed to the communities in which he lives, works and cares for. He is currently Counsel for the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors since 1995 as well as the Second Generation Advisory Committee for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and in the summer of 2002 he served at the University of Berlin, Germany on the Wannsee Conference Advisory Committee’s on The Corruption of the Rule of Law in Germany. Mr. Krieger also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Great Neck Lawyer’s Association, and is a member of the Executive Board of the American Inns of Court, Theodore Roosevelt Chapter. In addition, Mr. Krieger is a Member of the Commercial Litigation Committee at the Nassau County Bar Association and a participant in the Of Counsel Mentor Program. Mr. Krieger has also been a member of the Nassau County District Court Arbitration Panel since 1998. Recognition Among his numerous achievements, Mr. Krieger was recently appointed by the NYSBA Real Estate Section Executive Committee as a representative for the 10th Judicial District as well as to a sub-committee on professionalism and a sub-committee on due diligence lease checklists. Mr. Krieger is recipient of the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Service Award (2005), Nassau Suffolk Law Services Pro Bono Attorney of the Month (January 2000), and Nassau County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Award, Volunteers Lawyers Project (2001). Mr. Krieger is the Associate Dean for the Nassau County Academy of Law (2007-2008) and is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest level in professional excellence and ethics.Presentations & Publications A sought after presenter and lecturer, Mr. Krieger has given presentations at the NCBA on Advanced Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Leases, Commercial Lease Transactions, Real Estate Contracts, Bridge the Gap/MCLE program, and Revised Residential Contract of Sale.
