The group's principal activity is to manufacture paperboard and paper-based packaging. The other activities include the recycle of paper and production of solid bleached sulfate and folding cartons. The group operates in two segments: containerboard and corrugated containers segment produces a range of corrugated containers designed to protect, ship, store and display products. The consumer packaging segment produces carton styles, printed paper, foil and di-na-cal(R) heat transfer labels. The products include containerboard, kraft paper, solid-bleached sulfate, market pulp, folding cartons, coated recycled boxboard, multiwall and consumer bags and paper, foil and heat transfer labels. At 31-Dec-2003, the group has 21 paper mills, 157 container plants, 18 folding carton plants, 11 bag packaging plants and 18 other converting plants. The operations are located principally in north amercia. On 31-May-2003, the group acquired arko paper products co inc.
