The group's principal activities are securities brokerage and other financial services. The group is a self-clearing broker-dealer engaged in most aspects of securities distribution, trading, investment banking and asset management. The group operates in five segments: the retail segment provides securities brokerage services including the sale of equities, mutual funds, fixed income products and insurance. The capital markets segment provides securities brokerage services, trading and research of fixed income products. The asset management segment provides investment portfolio management services and mutual fund management. Rjbank segment provides residential, consumer and commercial loans and FDIC-insured deposit accounts. Other segment provides international joint ventures, stock loan, stock borrow and earnings on firm capital. The group has operations in the United States, Canada, Europe and joint ventures in India, France, turkey and Argentina.
