The group's principal activities are to design, underwrite and market legal expense plans. It's legal expense plans (referred to as memberships) provide for a variety of legal services in a manner similar to medical plans. The plans offered by the group include family legal plan, preventive legal services, automobile legal protection plan, trial defense, irs audit protection services, Canadian family plan, specialty legal service plans and business owners' legal solutions plan. The memberships sold by the group allow members to access legal services through a network of independent law firms under contract with the group. At 31-Dec-2002, the group had 1,418,997 memberships in force with members in all 50 states, the district of columbia and the Canadian provinces of ontario, british columbia, alberta and manitoba.
