The group's principal activity is to provide contract land drilling services to independent and major oil and gas exploration and production companies. In addition to drilling rigs, the group provides the drilling crews, most of the ancillary equipment needed to operate the drilling rigs. The group focuses operations in the natural gas production regions of south Texas and east Texas. At 16-May-2003, the group's rig fleet consists of 25 drilling rigs, 15 of which are operating in south Texas and 10 of which are operating in east Texas.
