The group operates in three business segments: pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare and animal health. Pharmaceutical segment includes treatments for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, central nervous system disorders, arthritis and pain, infectious and respiratory diseases, urogenital conditions, cancer, eye disease, endocrine disorders and allergies. Consumer healthcare segment includes medications for oral care, upper respiratory health, tobacco dependence, gastrointestinal health, skin care, eye care and hair growth. Animal health segment discovers, develops and markets the products for prevention and treatment of diseases in livestock and companion animals. On 16-Apr-2003, the group acquired pharmacia corporation and on 10-Feb-2004, esperion therapeutics inc.
