The group's principal activities are to supply specialty packaging and consumer products. The group operates through two segments namely consumer and food service/food packaging and protective and flexible packaging. Consumer and foodservice segment manufactures, markets and sells consumer products such as plastic, aluminum and paper-based products such as waste bags, disposable tableware, food-storage bags and aluminum cookware. Foodservice segment manufactures, markets and sells protective packaging for use in the automotive, computer, electronics, furniture, durable goods, building and construction industries. The products include foam, clear plastic, aluminum, pressed-paperboard and molded-fiber packaging for customers in the food distribution channel. In 2003, the group acquired equity earnings in central de bolsas sa de cv and packaging assets of rock-tenn company.
