The group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and market synthetic bone substitutes for orthopaedic applications that are useful in spine and joint replacements. The products are based on two platforms: synthetic cortical bone and synthetic cancellous bone substitute. The synthetic cortical bone is a non restorable, load bearing and resin composite and the synthetic cancellous bone substitute consists of small particle restorable calcium phosphate. The products include vitoss(R) scaffold synthetic cancellous bone void filler, imbibe(tm) bone marrow aspirate syringe used with vitoss, cortoss(R) synthetic cortical bone void filler and aliquot(tm) microdelivery system used with cortoss.
