The company's principal activities are design, development, manufacture and marketing of automated optical inspection (aoi) systems for use in the manufacture of printed circuit boards and for use in the production of liquid crystal flat panel displays. The company also manufactures computer aided manufacturing systems and laser plotters for pcb production and provides customer support and training through its wholly-owned subsidiaries in the United States, Europe, Pacific Rim and Japan. The company maintains its main research, development and manufacturing facilities in Israel and more than 50 offices worldwide. Its shares are traded on the Nasdaq national market under the symbol 'orbk'. Product sales accounted for 75% of 2001 revenues and services, 25%.
