The group's principal activity is to design, manufacture and market sensors and sensor-based products. These sensors measure precise ranges of physical characteristics, including pressure, motion, force, displacement, angle, flow and distance. The group has two businesses: consumer products business and sensors business. The consumer products business manufactures and markets sensor-based consumer products which include bathroom and kitchen scales, tire pressure gauges and distance estimators. The group's sensors business designs, manufactures and markets sensors for original equipment manufacturer applications. These products include pressure sensors, custom microstructures, accelerometers, tilt/angle sensors and displacement sensors for electronic, automotive, military and industrial applications. On 24-Jun-2004, the group acquired elekon industries usa inc and on 16-Jul-2004 it acquired entran inc and encoder devices llc.
