The group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and market products made from amorphous alloys. The group operates in two segments namely, bulk alloys and industrial coatings. The bulk alloys segment manufactures the liquidmetal(R) family of alloys is used in different applications including industrial coatings, defense, electronic casing, medical devices and sporting goods. The segment also produces casings for cellular phones and other electronic products. The alloys are used to produce skis, baseball bats, ice skates, bicycles and solar wind collector tiles. The industrial coatings segment manufactures protective coatings for industrial machinery and equipment. The group has operations in the United States and South Korea. The major customers of the group are samsung electronics company, grant prideco and growell metal inc.
