The group's principal activities are the development and exploration of precious metals in Africa and South America. The group also is a co-owner of two gold mines in west Africa. The group holds a 38 percent stake in sadiola gold mine and a 40 percent stake in the yatela gold mine which are located in mali, west Africa. On 07-Jan-2003, it acquired repadre capital corporation.
