The group's principal activities are generating, purchasing, distributing and selling of electricity in the northwest portion of Florida. The group is a wholly owned subsidiary of the southern company. The group distributes electricity in retail to 71 communities including pensacola, panama city and fort walton beach as well as in rural areas. Electricity in also distributed at wholesale to a non-affiliated utility companies and municipality.
