The group operates in three business groups: transportation and standard products group: manufactures and markets components of embedded control systems like microcontrollers, embedded microprocessors and digital signal processors; networking and computing systems group: manufactures and markets embedded processors and related connectivity products for the wired and wireless networking and computing markets and wireless and mobile solutions group: designs, manufactures and markets semiconductors for wireless mobile devices, such as cellular phones, smart phones, personal data assistants, two-way messaging devices, global positioning systems, mobile gaming devices and wireless consumer electronics. The group has its operations in more than 30 countries.
