The group's principal activity is to offer natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil products and services to wholesale and retail customers. Its operations are carried out through three segments: equitable utilities: consists of the state-regulated local distribution company, natural gas transportation, storage and marketing activities and supply and transportation services for the natural gas and electricity markets. Equitable supply: explores, develops, produces, gathers and sells natural gas and oil, extracts and sells natural gas liquids. Noresco: consists of cogeneration and power plant development, the development and implementation of energy and water efficiency programs, performance contracting and central facility plant operations. The group operates primarily in the northeastern section of the United States.
