The group's principal activity is to provide products and services requiring explosive metalworking. The group operates through the following two segments: the explosive metalworking group and the aerospace group. Explosive manufacturing uses explosives to perform metal cladding and shock synthesis. The most significant product of this group is clad metal which is used in the fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and transition joints used in the hydrocarbon processing, chemical processing, power generation, petrochemical, pulp and paper, mining, shipbuilding and heat, ventilation and air conditioning industries. Aerospace group includes aerospace machines, forms and welds parts for the commercial aircraft, aerospace and defense industries. The group discontinued spin forge division during the year.
