The group's principal activity is to distribute natural gas, propane, and advanced information services, water services and other related businesses. The three natural gas distribution divisions serve residential, commercial and industrial customers in southern Delaware, eastern Maryland and central Florida. The group's subsidiary eastern shore natural gas company operates an interstate pipeline system, transporting gas from Pennsylvania to the Delaware and Maryland as well as to utilities and industrial customers. Information services include Web-related products and the service and support of progress. Water services include conditioning and treatment and bottled water services. In 2003, the group discontinued its six water service business.
