The group's principal activity is to explore, develop, acquire and produce oil and gas properties. It also provides natural gas transmission and oil and gas property management services for other investors. The properties are geographically concentrated primarily offshore in the gulf of Mexico and onshore in Louisiana and Alabama. During fourth quarter of 2003, the group's first two deepwater projects, the medusa and habanero fields, began production.
