The company is involved in generation, purchase and sale of electricity in domestic and export markets. The company's secondary activities are the supply of thermal energy, as well as trading in by-products of electricity and heat generation processes. In Sept 2001, the group launched a new marketing strategy offering seven types of electricity supply. The company has 10 fossil power plants, 13 hydro power plants, 1 nuclear power plants, 1 wind power plants and one solar power plant. Electric power accounted for 94% of 2001 revenues and heat and other, 6%.
