The group's principal activity is carried out through two segments: research, development and licensing/commercialization of advanced drug delivery technologies and pharmaceutical products and manufacturing and selling of generic and branded pharmaceutical products. The group's research and development segment based in the United States, develops products incorporating proprietary technologies and seeks to form strategic alliances with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to facilitate the development and commercialization of its products. The product sales segment based in Spain, manufactures and markets branded and generic pharmaceutical products within four primary therapeutic areas: cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, infectious and neurological diseases.
